my collections
I am constantly researching and experimenting in search of light, colors, and mainly natural materials
I try to tell the beauty of nature, which has always fascinated me.

waves in the wood
Varese | 2020
spring 2020. first confinement.
a memory that may now be far away.
through drawing, I confronted myself with nature, a constant horizon in my work as a landscape architect.
I live near a forest that was not disturbed by our confinement, by our enforced stay.
on the other hand, Nature took the opportunity to continue to blossom and show its beauty.
and then, during a walk through the forest, I discovered hidden details that had remained hidden from me until then.
first I take photos. Then I draw, rigorously in black and white.
finally, I use gold ink to enrich the details that have impressed the eye.
the vitality of gold feeds on the matter of light.
the black and white stroke outlines the intricate pathways of the unconscious.
the drawings describe the complex and intricate world we live in, freeing us from the useless and ephemeral to discover vital treasures.

of fragile collections
vernissage Milan | 2012
I walk …
I sink my feet into the ground.
I feel the signs and the matter.
I keep my eyes on the things.
I collect bark and fragments of broken trees.
I find small pieces of wild flowers, samaras, stone fruits, seeds…Humbly invisible after the exciting bloom, I replant them with care and abundance.
I pay attention to the details that no one sees anymore.
to each natural element, fallen and rediscovered, fragile and delicate, I give a new color extracted from leaves and roots: rubia tinctorum, reseda luteola, rhus cotinus…
I build geometries of small gardens in which I preserve intact the wonder of nature’s ephemeral beauty.
micro landscapes are created through a slow and discreet decay.
signs left by the earth, that always support us.
I thank: Alberto Betti for the preparation; Marta Pivetta, Monica Betti, Paolo Giubileo for the precious support; lastly, Giancarlo Velati Finally, Giancarlo Velati whose teachings to discover natural colors have guided my gaze.
