to the west of the farmstead, there will be a round pergola of hornbeams, evoking the so-called Roccolo ( a hunting station used by bird catchers in the Po-Alpine region to capture catturare live migratory birds), designed to as a space for outdoor parties and events, with a 360° view towards Monte Rosa.
the
Roccolo is very common in theagicultural landscape of Varese, as can be seen in Villa Toeplitz, but also in Bobbiate and Gazzada.

the areas closest to the woods and furthest from the farmstead will be planted with Olea europaea already naturalised on site) due to their particular resistance to climate change and their ability to counteract the effects of erosion.

the olive trees also provide an intermediate level of naturalness that acts as a buffer between the area closest to the farmstead and the area towards the woods, representing a valuable refuge for biodiversity.
the green parterres, on the other hand, feature flower-filled lawns which, in addition to ensuring a pleasant aesthetic appearance, reduce maintenance and guarantee great biodiversity.

the project takes a contemporary approach to the elements of ‘plant architecture’ that have always characterised the landscape of Lombardy and Varese, which in the project become the connecting elements with the farmstead and the surrounding landscape.
